Being waterproof is a wonderful asset.

Great for wiring repairs on my motorcycle.

Works great, locks in good as you heat it up. The solder ring in the middle does actually melt and settle into the wire strands as you concentrate the heat on the ring and then work heat outwards on each end till the whole sleeve is set. Can't judge on durability as of now but it's promising. I'll buy more since I'm tired of crimping and risking piercing thru regular heat shrink crimp connectors.

Wish I would have found these long ago, save time soldering and crimping.

I really like these, and wish I had known about them earlier. I installed a new stereo in my car, and this made the job immensely easier.

Man, I LOVE these connectors! Had to connect new turn signal socket assembly on my '88 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer, and these made it so easy without all the soldering mess, iron, solder, etc....all I used to melt the solder was the low side of a heat gun.....these are perfect for use in wet areas exposed to rain, snow, water on front of Jeep....so these did the job just great....and a great idea, too.

Where have these been all my life!? It was so easy to splice the wires on my trailer. I used a propane torch being careful to let it heat the shrink wrap and not burn it. The solder ring started to disform a little right after the shrink wrap shrunk. Then it melted. It took a while longer than I expected to harden and I had to hold the wire still while it was cooling down. When it was done, the connection was perfect!

What a great product. You do have to be careful not to overheat them working in close quarters, when the heat gun is really close you have to keep it moving. I will be keeping a supply of these on hand in the future...

The varying sizes were extremely useful for mending a variety of leads. It's a smashing and useful kit at a sensible price and worth keeping for the special jobs or repairs.

Used 4 of them so far to mend low voltage outdoor light. I used a heat gun and keep swing it back and forth and around it. when I could see the solder move I stopped. On joint keep shorting so I put the heat gun on it again and waited till i saw the solder flow. Haven't had trouble since.

Where were these things years ago? Worked great with a heat gun. Could use a hair dryer. Fairly low melting temp makes them work so easily. Makes a great watertight connection.

Great product. Just used these for the first time and very pleased. Exactly as described. The transparent sleeve makes it easy to see if you have good overlap between the wires and, after heating, to see that the solder has flowed to encase both wires. After shrinking the ends over the wire insulation they appear to be watertight and to provide strain relief. No more soldering or crimping wires together only to realize I left off the shrink tubing. I have mentioned these to friends of mine and imagine a number of additional orders will roll in.

Awesome, awesome. These things really work. The design is very well thought out and executed. On each side of the solder joint there are small colored sleeves that are there for a purpose. They shrink quickly and hold the two wire ends together as the rest of the magic is happening (wires are NOT falling apart while in process). These also seal each side of the connection solidly, even more than the shrink tube .

Works like a champ. The solder melted with the little bit of time on the heat gun and made a great connection

These are great for wiring things together 10 out of 10 would buy again.

This is a great set of heat shrink with solder connectors. I have already used half of the red band ones with great success. Not a single failure, except for a burnt finger ; - )

I love the idea of these little guys. I used them to rewrite the 4-way harness on my trailer. Having the wires soldered together was ideal and the waterproof glue was genius. I’m very happy with them. After the install I covered over 4 wires with a single black shrink wrap.

I wasn’t really sure about these but decided to try them anyways. I tried a dipping some of the wires in flux and doing some without. It works fine either way and I wasn’t able to rip the splice apart after.

These are the best things ever. I've ordered the larger pack know cause they work so good. I use the heat gun with low and high power, I focus it on high heat directly at the center metal and once it melts I start moving the head gun back and forth over the edges to get the rest of the shear shrink wrapped up. I love it cause I can do 2 wires at the same time. I will be keeping these things in stock!

This is my first time trying this type of connector, and I am pretty impressed. They work exactly as advertised. Slightly more tricky to use than a crimp type marine grade connector, because you need to hold both wires and the heat gun at the same time, and hold it together while the solder cools, but should offer superior electricity transfer due to the soldered connection. There isn’t much sealer in the shrink tube (I’m sure so it doesn’t interfere with the solder joint) so I am curious to see long term water resistance. As long as these aren’t used in a high heat area (like possibly near an exhaust manifold, etc.) that could re-melt the low temp solder and possibly make the connection come apart, these seem like awesome, slim fit (not bulky) electrical connectors.

This solder sleeve works exactly how it is described and kills two birds with one stone of soldering wire as well as sealing the connection. It is a huge timesaver and a necessity for those that don't know how to solder properly.
